L’argomento della sostenibilità è fortemente promosso da SKAL International. SKAL Italia ha pertanto rinnovato i Sustainable Tourism Quality Award che, in linea con quelli europei, premieranno i progetti particolarmente meritevoli dei soci.
In vista della Assemblea Generale di SKAL Italia che si terrà a Palermo il 18 Marzo 2023, il Presidente Armando Ballarin ha predisposto, a livello italiano, i seguenti Award per identificare le migliori pratiche e progetti di turismo sostenibile conformi agli obiettivi dell’Agenda 2030 su nove settori legati al turismo in Italia:
- COMMUNITY AND GOVERNMENT PROJECTS
- COUNTRYSIDE AND BIODIVERSITY
- EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES AND MEDIA
- MAJOR TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
- MARINE AND COASTAL
- RURAL ACCOMMODATION
- TOUR OPERATORS-TRAVEL AGENTS
- TOURIST TRANSPORT
- URBAN ACCOMMODATION
I club sono invitati a presentare progetti entro il 1 Marzo 2023. I progetti candidati devono essere inviati alla Segreteria di SKAL Italia. Il progetto deve provenire da membri SKAL o loro associati, iniziative di Club, soggetti di eccellenza dei loro territori.
Una commissione appositamente designata valuterà quindi il progetto e assegnerà i Premi.
I vincitori del premio saranno annunciati ufficialmente durante l’Assemblea Generale di SKAL Italia.
Tutti i progetti vincitori saranno poi candidati agli Awards di SKAL Europe pertanto si chiede di inviare solamente testi in lingua Inglese. I progetti particolarmente meritevoli verranno anche candidati agli Skal International Sustainability Awards.
Infine, tutti i progetti presentati saranno pubblicati sul sito di SKAL Italia.
